Hey guys, I hope you’ve had a nice weekend. I got the Elegantly Wasted polish by Trust Fund Beauty in my Ipsy bag and wanted to do a little review for it because I’ve been wearing it a bit recently. This product is 17ml (essie is 13.5) and cost $15 on their website. I was happy that they included this in Ipsy because I wouldn’t usually spend $15 on a nail polish.
This month the estimated delivery date for my bag changed more than it usually does. First it was supposed to be here on Valentine’s day and then it got switched to the 23rd and then it finally showed up today. If you don’t know what an Ipsy bag is, it’s a $10 monthly subscription bag that sends you usually 5 deluxe samples or full size beauty products (makeup, hair, and skincare). You can go to their website and take a quiz so that the bags they send you are tailored to you and what you want. This month the bag was pink (Valentine’s Day) with little diamonds on the bottom part of it that were pink and grey. It’s not my favorite bag but as far as quality it’s the same as most other bags.
Alright it’s time for me to update you guys on this last month’s Ipsy bag since my new one shipped today. Ipsy is a monthly subscription bag that sends you usually 5 luxury samples and full size products for $10 a month. When you sign up you answer some questions about skin tone and what kind of products you like to help them pick products that will be good for you. You can click here to go to their website and click here to read my blog post from when I first got this month’s items (they’ll open in a new tab so don’t worry). I’ve actually been using the products quite a lot this month and I’ve really been enjoying them. I went and house sat for someone for a week and the bag everything came in definitely came in handy. I used it for some of my makeup and it worked really well. It’s cute and easy to clean.
I’ll say right up front that I’m pretty crap at applying eyeliner anywhere other than just my waterline. Tight lining my eyes feels funny, I can never get wings right, and I always manage to find a way to mess up a simple line of eyeliner. That being said I still try to get it right and every now and then I accomplish something that I can actually go out in public in. I love eyeliner despite it hating me. Not only do I have tons of trouble putting it on, but I also have eyes that seem to just reject eye liner and make it run all around my eyes unless it’s pretty waterproof. So I have 3 eyeliners I’ve used recently, 2 that I like and 1 that I wish I liked but don’t.
With a new month comes a new Ipsy bag! If you don’t know what Ipsy is it’s a monthly $10 beauty subscription bag that usually has 5 large samples or sometimes even full size hair, makeup, and beauty products. If you haven’t checked out last month’s bag you can click here for my initial views on it or here for my update/review on it. So this month’s theme was Fresh Start. To my knowledge everything in this month’s bag (at least the one I got) is a natural product. From the picture on Ipsy I didn’t think I was going to like this month’s bag itself but I actually really like it. It’s blue on one side and white on the other. The zipper is a nice salmony color. The material feels nice and seems like it would be easy to clean up if needed. I don’t know if you can see it in the picture but it has a little bit of an embossed pattern on the material which I really like. It’s actually probably one of the top bags I’ve gotten and I know I’ll use it.
Finally getting around to an update on last month’s Ipsy bag. I wanted to have enough time to try all of the products and my next Ipsy bag has shipped so I figured this was a good time to update everyone. If you don’t know what Ipsy is it’s a monthly $10 subscription bag that sends you usually 5 different luxury sample and full sized beauty products to try. You take a little quiz that helps them tailor products to you. I love it, it’s like Christmas every month. If you want to check out my initial thoughts on December’s products then click here. And now onto the actual products.
It’s like Christmas came early! If you don’t know what Ipsy is then you can click here for their website but basically it’s a monthly, $10 beauty subscription bag usually filled with 5 different hair, makeup, skincare, etc. products. If you don’t have it and you want it (it’s pretty amazing, like Christmas every month) then you can click here. Alright, now on to the good stuff.
The bag this month was black with a berry zipper with a berry inside as well. There was a little heart on the zipper. The material is smooth and will probably clean up very easily if you plan on using it for a makeup bag. It looks pretty plain but it would match with a lot of different purses, wallets, etc. The quality feels pretty good and I like the berry zipper so I’m not complaining.
